What makes Southern Wedding different to other wedding directories?

Whilst there are many (hundreds) of wedding directories available, there are few who cater purely for those looking for a unique, DIY wedding. I (Sarah) remember my frustrations when trying to find suitable suppliers in my area. I’d spend hours internet searching for businesses not in the mainstream. Southern Wedding takes this hard work out for you! Additionally, whereas other directories cover the entirety of the UK, or single counties, Southern Wedding lists suppliers across the south, so if you’re unable to find what you’re looking for in your area you can easily find businesses in neighbouring regions. This still retains the ‘local’ aspect to a degree, and keeps the website small and personal. We plan to meet as many of the listed suppliers as possible to discover who they are and what they can offer rather than becoming a large, faceless directory with a voice at the end of the phone. In the future we hope to be able to offer a service where we can match couples to businesses and provide a far more bespoke service.

How do I use the Pinboard?

Whilst searching and viewing businesses via our counties, categories and search box, you can add the best local companies of the Wedding industry to your Pinboard using the 'Add to Pinboard' button. Within your Pinboard page you can then contact and enquire with your chosen businesses all at once and in one place, making your Wedding Day planning easier to manage.

Will you be expanding into other areas of the UK?

Hopefully in the future! However, this will remain on a regional basis in order to keep the personal, local aspect. Watch this space!
